Yes the above is all fine and well and infact works very quickly and easily. The only issue I have is that your Blackberry has to be set up to allow roaming data, now with me living in Northern Irleand this is a bit of an issue as there are plenty of places that are still geographically in Northern Ireland where you can lose all signal and switch to an Irish network. I am thinking that I could end up with large bill very quickly.

No BIS on the Orange-Tmo signal yet either. And if you lock onto that hybrid network you get stuck for over an hour. Set mine to manual network to avoid the joint network.

I've recently moved to T-Mobile and signed up to get the Orange signal as I kept dropping out of network coverage. Had to set the data roaming on, but no problems with BIS on either network. Today for the first time I'm sometimes seeing the carrier as 'T-Mobile Orange' - which works but if I set Data Roaming off it won't. Seems as though they've still got some sorting out to do.

Edit. Seems as though the Orange signal is now showing as 'T-Mobile Orange' now - did a manual scan for networks and whereas before Orange showed up now I see T-Mobile Orange for its 2G and 3G networks.

I found that out last night, but too late as I had already sent the request to Orange and had confirmation that the switch had taken place.

After all sorts of fiddling, including several battery pulls/restarts I couldn't get my data services to work even though it was showing "Orange" as my signal provider. I could only get gprs and not GPRS, even if I manually locked on to Orange so I phoned 450 and got them to remove it.

All working again ok now thank goodness, so my advice is to stay well away from it until they get it working correctly

Make sure that you've got Data Service - While Roaming set to ON under Mobile Network Options - I'm having no problems switching between networks now.

I had that set, but it still didn't work.

Happy to stay with Orange for now, just wanted to give it a try
