Blackberry Tour for use in HK

I have an unlocked Canadian blackberry tour and I want to use BBM and BIS in HK. I was told that it wouldn't work and the sales ("3") said something about because of the PIN. Didn't quite understand.

I was able to use my phone in the UK with Blackberry services. I bought this phone specifically because it was a world phone which could be use in pretty much any country. From what I've read, HK uses UTMS 2100, which my phone supports.

Can anyone confirm whether my phone will work on the HK BIS network?

The answer is yes. It will work. Went to another store and they said it will be fine. The other lady didn't know what she was talking about.

3UK just chats fiddlesticks!! Get yourself a 3 sim, slam it in, top it up and activate BIS on it and I'm sure it'll work fine and dandy!!!

all blackberry service in HK requires a contract 30 days 1 year whatever.
good luck. and from memory the tour is a CDMA only device? Wont work in
HK no CDMA service. if your tour is dual cdma/gsm ok u get 2g EDGE enjoy.
