Default BIS and BES Configuration

Hello, first of all i'm a newbie here and to the blackberry world. I live in Albania (sorry for my English) and I would like to buy a Blackberry Smartphone. In my country there is only one officially supported carrier for Blackberry (Vodafone Albania) and i actually use another operator (Eagle Mobile). Searching in internet i've figured out that the configuration for internet and email for a blackberry smartphone is done through an official carrier (the ones that already have blackberry servers).

However i've heard that there is a way to configure BIS and BES, if your carrier does have support for Blackberry but it is not official. There are some guys in my city that can configure a Blackberry with Eagle Mobile for internet access, although it is not officially supported. And that is the same thing that people inside Eagle Mobile advice me. But they ask for a lot of money for the configuration only (because for the usage of internet i get charged from my carrier) and I would like to know if someone of you knows the procedure to do this thing by myself. Considering that people here already do that, i would trust experienced users in this forum instead of them.

Thnx in advance

Default Blackberry unlocking and data use worldwide

Basically unlocking a Blackberry or buying unlocked Blackberry will provide you with a device that can be used with a GSM carrier in any country worldwide.

As you may already know, on unlocked blackberry handset the calls and SMS services will work by simple inserting SIM card into the sim slot of your blackberry smartphone.

About the data services, BIS (Blackberry internet services) is used to press the data to your device using the Blackberry secured network.
Mostly, after unlocking a blackberry from other carrier and using it with another sim card that has a Blackberry data plan activated is also involved with reinstalling the service books which are installed on that unlocked device...

What you are talking about is hacking your Blackberry and i'm not sure it's a good idea, especially if it will cost you much money...
My suggestion it to get a new Blackberry online and unlock it, then buy a Vodafone SIM card with data plan for Blackberry - if it will be not much bigger price that making the BIS to your other carrier which is not supporting BIS then i think it's the best option..

Think about it, you will need support sometimes and to get it you need a normal service which you can call and get support for what you pay for...

The idea of using an unsupported carrier for BIS and BES is only because the operator that actually supports it has a really low limit. I can use BIS & BES from Vodafone Albania but with a limit of 80Mb. How the **** should 80Mb be enough for one months, considering also that it's a 3G network. My carrier, Eagle Mobile, has a limit of 1.5Gb per month, so i think, even if i pay smth (money is not the problem here) at least i get 1.5Gb. So is there any way modify service books or anything else, so i can use my BlackBerry Bold 9900 on my carrier?
