Exclamation Best Blackberry Carrier in the UK?

Hey,

I've been looking for SIM ONLY contracts with a Blackberry data plan in the UK as I move back to London in 2 months for uni.

I realize there are other threads about the same sort of thing, however they're very outdated and are of little help.

I'm looking to know one thing:

1) What carrier is best for a blackberry data plan? Cost, service and coverage wise.

Your feedback will be much appreciated,

Thanks,

Dweldom

I'm not sure about contracts but for PAYG 3 seem to be the best (who im currently with)

Cannot fault the coverage one bit, 99% of the time i have 5 bars 3G, i was amazed as i changed from o2 where i was only getting a 2-4 bars of edge most of the time.

100 mins 3000 text 500mb + BIS = £15 for 30 days, I'm pretty sure for £20 it goes up to 300mins and 'all you can eat data'

I'd like pay monthly. So do I just find a pay monthly package I'd like then add BIS to it?

Sorry, but i'm not sure how a sim only contract works with BIS. All i know is that if you get a contract with a blackberry phone, BIS is included. You might need to get a blackberry sim only deal.

I tried to get a sim-only from O2 but I got refused

So I got a PAYG sim. Top up between £15-£29 and get 500 texts and 500mb of blackberry data for BBM, Email. Plus you get the £15-£29 for calls.

I'd say Orange as long as you don't have plans to exceed 500mb GPRS/3G data.

Also, good luck with university.

Order a free sim from t-mobile and get 6 months free bb services, can't go wrong:

I was in the UK for 2 years.
Here is my experience.

I first started with T-mobile but the internet was horrendously slow and kept idling for 10-15 minutes at a time which was VERY inconvenient for me when I was working day-to-day and I needed to know where I was going. 20GBP/month

I tried PAYG orange and I couldn't even get a signal in my room. Not even emergency.

I tried O2 and they were ok but the signal was quite bad in my area. I didn't like their customer service at all. Not helpful to sort out my signal problem. 25GBP a month

Finally, ended up with vodafone. Stuck with them to the end.

I think the cost was the best too @ 20GBP a month for 500MB, BIS, BBM, 300 mins (WHO CALLS IN THE UK ANYWAYS? EVERYONE TXTS) and unlimited text.

I would highly recommend vodafone because they were the only company who called me to find out why I am cancelling my services with them (leaving the country). Best signal even though it was still crappy in my area.
