8900/Orange roaming in northern Europe

I'm leaving England soon on a three-month tour of northern Europe. Most of the time I'll be in Scandinavia & Finland. Orange are offering a roaming deal of £10 a month for long excursions, with calls back to the UK costing 28p a minute.

Two questions:

1. Are there cheaper ways of making calls from the 8900? (I'll be using Skype on my laptop where I can get wifi but I expect there'll be times when I'm not near an access point.)

2. I've got Google Maps and Google Mail on the BB. Am I likely to incur heavy charges if I use them?

Is this the roming data bundle? If you are a heavy user the £10 won't be enough, thats what i found anyway, you probably need double or triple that in terms of data use

I've tried the 3 & 10 Mb bundles & got through it in a week. I don't consider myself to be a heavy user either!
