3G on Orange UK

I've been having problems with my 3G signal on Orange - I had it set to 2G and 3G but it goes to 3g a lot and I cannot do anything with it. Calls fail when it's set to 3G and it's getting annoying so I've set my options to 2G only.

Has anybody else on Orange had this problem - I have a 9700 Bold.

I,m on Orange too, but didnt experience such a problem, mine is bold 9000.

Yep, have had this problem for months with my 9700 in central london. I stick to 2g now mostly

Yeah I stick to 2G. Sometimes the 3G is just SO SLOW and I reset my Blackberry and resend service books and it's still doesn't work for me.

The worst is when I am in the main areas like Charing Cross (London) and my 3G doesn't even exist!

Mine hasn't been too bad this weekend and I am based in Charing Cross in London too. It has switched to GPRS a couple of times but mostly its been on 3G.

I've had issues in the past on other devices, like the HTC hero. Only got my Blackberry two days ago and seems the same. Patchy at best. Only thing is i live in Western Cornwall so i kind of expect patchy 3g signal, i'd be annoyed if it was the same in the middle of a city!
