Default Want to use my Blackberry in Korea

Hi I am from South Africa. I am currently in South Korea and want to use my Blackberry 8520 Curve here. How do I go about it? When I left South Africa, my Service Provider told me that my phone will work here, but it does not. I just want to use my applications. Please help. Thanks

Unfortunately your phone will not work. Korean networks use 3G, and your 8520 is 2G only so it is not compatible with the cellular systems. If you can find WiFi you should be able to use the data services for email and applications, but not voice calls or SMS.
