T-Mobile 7230

Hey guys,

Friend of mine gave me his old (mint condition) 7230 which was branded by t-mobile. Problem is, its got no sim card in it and every time I do a full wipe the red light refuses to stop blinking. I plan on registering it next week on a pay as you go type plan from either tmo or at&t but i'm curious will the blinking stop once its on a network or am I missing something?

When you mean wipe are you saying you wiped the device through the security options on the device or did it with crackmem/jl_cmdr? If its running and its just blinking red light I believe thats a coverage indicator telling you it isnt on a network.
