Default Plug in Berry and NOTHING happens...

Ok folks, before any locks and loads on me, yes, I did a forum search and found nothing recent that addresses my issues here.

Situation is this...

1. I'm going on my fourth Bold 9930 for a number of hardware/software related issues.
2. I have an old 7250 as a backup - all my other old phones that had any kind of value I sold already...
3. When I plug the 7250 into the computer, the battery starts charging on the phone. However, the computer doesn't respond with any sound or messages. When I go into "Computer", I cannot find it anywhere. Also, BB Desktop Manager says that no device is connected.
4. I am NOT using a USB hub and have tried three different blackberry cables with each of the two USB ports on my laptop (Macbook Air 11")

I travel for work and will not be home when the new berry arrives. So, I am basically stuck for a week without contacts and calendar now.

I am running Windows 7 Professional 64-bit with BB DM version 6.1.0.35 via Parallels software on the Mac.

ANY help here would be greatly appreciated!
