Hi, since yesterday, for no reason I can think of, my BB keyboard started playing up.

the W key has stopped working. It feels fine to press, makes the normal clicking etc etc, but doesn't do anything. Normally I would live with it, except my password has a W in it...so I am a bit stuffed.

Any thoughts/ideas on how to sort it? Gone back to an old crummy thing in the meantime, but would rather my BB worked!

Hi there!

From your description, I think it may be something with the hardware... I may be wrong (Possibility).
Try updating to a newer OS, the newest for your device (8520) being OS 5.

OS 5 can be found on the official BlackBerry website.

If someone actually knows how to fix, please correct me.

Oh, and by the way, your post should have been posted in the: 85xx : Forum area. This is for old BlackBerries! (850, 7100r).

Hi again.

I have been searching the web for your problem, and I have found a solution, but it will cost money.

You may need to service your BlackBerry.

The keyboard needs to be replaced...
