i don't know for certain but i believe as long as you are running os 4.1 or later you will be okay

Yep, if you have os4.1 fb will work, however, given the low memory on a 7290 it'll be slow. You might be better doing as I have and going back to 4.0 (more free memory), deleting the bb browser (yet more free memory) and installing opera mini. You can then use opera for fb.
