eBay 7250: cannot SMS!?

A few months ago I purchased a BlackBerry 7250 on ebay to replace my phone I love the phone but one problem I can not send text messages I can recieve all I want but cannot write back please help.

When you open the text message then click in the trackwheel you dont get an options to reply? You should be able to sms. Do you have a text plan?

I do not have a reply option I have even tried the text shortcuts too attempt this and nothing happens. There is supposed to be a code problem with the 7250 and there is a way to fix it I'm just trying to find out how to fix this code.

I think there are other posts that say the 7250 cannot send text messages...sorry i don't have a link to them though.

7250 can recieve SMS texts fine, However you cannot reply. To reply you have to reply via email using gmail, etc, Thats the only work around I have seen so far, I Hope this helps, if text message is a major issue, I think you might want to look for the 8350i the new sprint blackberry phone with camera.

That is strange. My girlfriend has 7250 and it can SMS just fine. Perhaps upgrade the OS?

I understand the nostalgic aspect of owning the phone, but why put uip with the headaches, its a relic.

I had a 7250 that was my first BB. There is no SMS for it. You have to reply via email.

Upgrade asap!!
