BlackBerry Wont Charge Through Wall?

Ok Guys See if you can me.
My dad had just given me his Blackberry curve 8310. He told me it wont charge. But we have a dock. Which Works. But when you plug it into the wall my light flashes and goes to blank. The Phone is AT&T but i use TMobile. No Its not unlocked, yet. Im waiting for the MEP code. IMPORTANT : Where i plug in my port the middle gold stick is a bit higher then the other ones. Im not sure if it's "Bent". Is that the problem. Will i have to get it fixed? Oh yeah. One more thing will i not be able to connect to my computer?
FACTS :
The Phone has a brand new battery.
There is no SIM card atm
Charges Fine on Dock
The phone is a Blackberry 8310 AT&T
Not been used in a while (2 Years Ago)





Oh yeah. If anyone knows where i can get free or cheap MEP codes. Please tell me im waiting for a free one but its taking a bit.

Have you tried charging it through other outlet or a different cable?
Have you connected it to a computer? If so, does the computer recognize it?

So far we havent connect to a computer yet because we dont know where the cable is. But it does charge through a charging dock.

You should find/purchase a new USB cable, because if you connect it and the computer doesn't recognize it, your USB port is probably broken.
Well, make sure you try different USB ports first.
