Blackberry 7290 Contacts Export??

My wife's old Blackberry 7290 has a bunch of contacts on it that we need to export, but it's been long since deactivated. The Blackberry Desktop manager 6.0 software doesn't recognize the device ("Unknown Device" error). How can I get the contacts off the device? Maybe use an older version of Desktop? Anyone? Thanks for the advice ...

Hi my 7290 syncs with bb desktop ok . I moved my contacts from my computer to the 7290. It should work, do you have the latest desktop mgr?
