    Question 7290 browser,where are you?

    My tried and trusted 7290 has no Browser icon and the Home screen reads'Data Connection Refused'.It is an ex British Telecomms handset-can anyone out there help me?Gollywell

    Sounds like you don't have a data plan.

    Before you do ,pse explain how to obtain a data plan!Here in South Africa we are not as up to date as the USA so every bit of help goes a long way.

    You have to contact Vodacom to activate your data plan.

    Many thanks,does this explain the missing browser icon as well-when i contacted Vodacom they didnt know whai i was talking about-said there was probably a problem with my 7290.The icon is not hidden either,just doesnt exist.

    I believe so. If you don't have a data plan, certain icons won't be there.

    a way to get to your browser [but you won't be able to use it if you don't have a data plan]
    -hold down alt key [the one under the A]
    -click the escape key [under the track wheel]
    -keep holding the alt key and there should be a browser icon, just scroll onto it and let off the alt key

    alt+esc,if it not exist, try to reinstall browser

    Mine showed up after I activated my 7250with Verizon so I dont know what you have to do but gl.
