7210: can't send dtmf tones to google
I've got my old BB 7210, probably one of the last 10 in existence. I'm trying to port my number to google, but I can't send the verification "number" dtmf tone. google calls, asks for the number, I hit the number (12) on the keypad, but I see the 7210 sent the letters WE. I hold down alt and the number, stills sends WE; alt and left caps, still WE. (BTW, with my fat hands, holding down ALT, L-Shift, and 1/W keys was really a pain.)
Have I just forgotten how to do this? I seem to remember the default dtmf code for the number keypad was the number. You had to hold down ALT to get the letter.
Any help appreciated.
