    Google’s Nexus 5, Android 4.4 KitKat launch delayed - The Times of India

    I thought BlackBerry was the only company delaying product launches/software rollouts?

    Android launches often get delayed, often same reason as BlackBerry....carriers.

    I don't think anyone is saying that; only that BBRY can afford to miss deadlines the least.

    Google could cancel Nexus and Android as a while and be alright.

    BTW, I didn't know Google had publicly noted a launch date, only rumors. No ironclad date as far as I knew.

    If they don't release 4.4, maybe they can get around to fixing 4.3?

    Hoping to get rid of my nexus 4 for a 5 before January.

    What's wrong with 4.3 ? No issues with my HTC One and Nexus 7 on 4.3

    Might just be nexus 4 related but battery drain and signal issues... the rest of my issues I guess were app related as some didn't work right after the update

    My nexus 7 fhd though got returned because of touchscreen issues but I don't know if that is hardware or software...

    I was hoping for a bigger battery, but I'd be fine with the 2300.

    That pricing is hard to pass up. Wow. And Sprint is carrying it...

    You suck. I got out of a marathon meeting, finally read the news and then ordered it around 4 eastern. By then the ship date was 3 days later!

    That was my deal-breaker. My Xperia Z has pretty bad battery life when in use, and it has a 2330mah battery. I'll stick with my decision to get the LG G2 with it's 3000mah battery.

    ETA: The camera was another deal breaker. I've gotten spoiled by 13mp shooters.

    I think the G2 is a higher spec phone overall, right? The N5 is quite a bit cheaper though.

    I like nexus devices because of the direct updates and vanilla Android. If this was going to be my primary phone, though, I'd have probably gone with the G2 also. As a dev/work phone, the N5 is nice.

    Yep, the G2 is better speced and Tmo is charging $579 for it. The ONLY gripe I have about the Xperia Z is the battery life. Well, and the fact that 4.1.2 is getting old now. No doubt that the N5 is the best phone one can get for the money. But like you said, the G2 would be my primary device so I need it to be top notch.
