yes, Skype is available in Blackberry 10 the same way it was available to the Playbook. The icon was also available for the Playbook, but the application never came. So, for me seeing is believing, I will believe when I see the application in BB10.

Apples and oranges.... being a first day adopter of the Playbook... I do remember seing a Skype icon on some promo material.. but never saw any actual announcement by RIM Skype would be on the Playbook... compare it today's announcement which actually announce it as arriving... sound like a bit of trolling happening....by the way I love my Ipad too.... great device....

It remains to be seen what kind of Skype is going to be on BlackBerry 10. They said Skype is 'committed'. Don't know yet what that translates to. Voice/Video features of Skype may or may not be there. Let's wait and see.

I'm glad Skype is coming, it's a great communication tool. Out of the topped "bitched for" applications, I'm glad it was Skype. Should be available on the platform by the time I'm ready to switch over.

100% agree. I am not disappointed netflix is not there. Tons of fair priced movies in blackberry world

Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8, I'm guessing Microsoft's first priorities.
