Wirelessly Printing Documents to Networked or WiFi Printer with BB10?

Hi everyone, does anyone have any news regarding wireless printing to a networked or WiFi printer with BB10? I find it very convenient to do so from my laptop at work and think it would be very useful on BB10 seeing that it's supposed to be a mobile computing platform. What do you think? Is this already baked-in?

It better have this ability baked in. It needs to be able to detect printers on the same wifi network and print directly to it. If it doesn't do this I would consider it a fail.

This is still one of my biggest pet peeves with the current pb that it doesn't do this

Agreed. There is absolutely zero reasons that BlackBerry OS 10 could not incorporate a Common Unix Printing System (CUPS) server to provide the means to print directly to networked printers. As new printer models are released by the printer manufacturers all RIM has to do is push the new PostScript Printer Description (PDD) file, typically provided by the manufacturer, associated with the printer.

There will a HP e-print app available w/ the release of BB10. Don't worry, unless you own a non-eprint printer from HP.

There is an HP eprint app for BBOS7. I would suspect it will be there for BB10 as well, if not the CUPS like app.

Indeed PlayCloud is provided with a CUPS Client, so you can print directly from your mobile over the I network.

Its baked in. I have seen a youtube video showing it off. I have no reason to believe that the vid was fake so......I'm going to say, "It's already there"

And I have done this video ; and I confirm to you that it isn't a fake

print to go.....its there in playbook....it definitely will be on bb10 !!

Print to go is not a print driver ap. It does not send files to your printer, It sends files from your PC to your device.

My app uses the BlackBerry Invocation framework.

So you can call PlayCloud from the other applications (third apps and native apps).

Sample: you receive a photo from BBM, you want to copy on your SugarSync account, just invoke PlayCloud from BBM.

I think that I'll do a video about it.

Note: prefer speak about my app on my thread.
