Default Will the Z10 Support TMobile (USA) UMA or at least WiFi Calling?

I would love to have UMA on a TMobile Z10, or at least wi-fi calling option.

What's the word on the streets?

Get your phone unlocked. You can switch between any carrier..

That doesn't mean you will be able to get UMA or even wifi calling.

    Totally agree with you Danny.

To the OP, you should keep checking the T-Mobile forum. Some people are planning to get the Z10s, so you may find your answer there.

I forgot I started this thread, lol.

Anyway, I'll check the T-Mo forums.

No support for UMA or Wifi calling, at least yet. On Rogers with a plan that enabled it on my 9810.

Could be another reason why T-Mo couldn't launch initially.

No, I rather think carriers are winding this down. Seems to the case in Europe across all handsets the last year.

The majority of phones on T-Mobile still have it.

UMA would really seal the deal for me to go with Tmo.

Oh well no wifi calling on Z10 on T-Mo. Maybe a software thing.

I believe the Z10 will have WiFi Calling like the 9900 since TMo has been phasing out UMA. Its a shame really since UMA is better.

Any updates on WiFi calling for TMobile in the US now that we have a release date?

For what it is worth- I had a wifi calling plan with Rogers here in Canada because of weak signal strength in my home on my 9810. On my Z10, my signal has been noticeably stronger and I've yet to drop a call, so my need for UMA/wifi has been basically eliminated.

I have a T-Mobile phone that I use when I travel internationally. The WiFi calling allows me to call back to the States with no roaming charges. Hopefully the Z10 has WiFi Calling.

Most new phones on Tmobile do not ship with Wifi calling. Usually within 2 months they send an update to include it. Do not worry, it will come.

I personally miss UMA from the bold days. I liked the fact that it didn't disconnect when you left the wifi area. Thats the only negative about wifi calling, but other wise, it works fine.

Looks like not now but perhaps in the future from TMO forum.

I recently moved From Vancouver to a rural town where there is only Bell and Telus, I've been on Rogers for several years and I have no intention to leave Rogers for either of the others.

When I moved I was EXTREMELY HAPPY to know my 9900 had WIFI calling and a quick call to Rogers to have it enabled on my plan made life very good....

TODAY I just got my Special Edition Z10 and only to find out there is no WIFI Calling....This makes me very disappointed and I really hope they add this feature to OS10, because now I have to keep using my 9900 when I have a BRAND NEW Z10 just sitting on my desk, almost useless.
