RIM has promoted BBM connected apps as a great feature for over a year now to developers. How are developers supposed to design BBM connected apps for BBOS 10?

For RIM to release BBOS 10 phone by October/November time frame, the finished product (hardware and software) has to be in Carriers hands by end of June for battery of network tests. So where is the new BBM?
Neither does it have a very obvious basic capability which makes a phone phone: CALLING.
Relax op, its just an alpha device meant for developers to design their apps accordingly.

Hopefully we'll get some more information from those who attended the Jam sessions talking about use of Cascades to make BBM...
Incorrect. The Dev Alphas have BBM. No question about it. I can take my Bold and invite my Dev Alpha's PIN number and the instant I do the Dev Alpha receives a notification and the BBM logo appears in the top bar.

So BBM is not a separate app but integrated into the mailbox, like sms, email, and BBM messages sent from one menu in mailbox?? That would be cool!

This is true. The fear with the lack of BBM, however, is that RIM has been pushing BBM connected apps as a major feature. This does not allow devs a chance to create such apps in advance of BB10's release.
