Default Verizon and the 8900, Niagra, etc ...

I have had the Pearl for the last couple of years. It's a fine phone, but the keyboard does not meet my needs. I have an upgrade coming in August ... and I'm planning to switch to the Curve. What I'd really like, however, is the 8900 or Tour. I remember reading several months ago that the 8900 might be coming to Verizon as early as summer. Is that still true? Is there a good source for keeping track of Verizon announcements on new Blackberries?

Thanks for your help!

I would wait for the Tour because you wouldn't want to get the Curve then maybe a month-3 months later, the Tour be released.

the tour will be a big step up for you, go to att and try out a bold, its pretty similar and just think that it will be a little smaller without the leather back and thats what you should expect. The 8330 curve isnt much of an upgrade from what you are using and they should be giving those away soon, but the tour is the way to go

I believe the form of the Curve is identical, if not a hair off, to the 8900 Curve. Ive had the 8900 Before and its around the same size. Just a little bit lighter. Either way, the Tour has more possibilites to it. I would recommend it. More App Memory and Its a Global Phone at that.

the Tour doesnt have more app memory than the 8900 curve...actually the only difference in the 8900 curve and tour is the Tour has a processor that is about 25Mhz faster than the 8900's
and of course the tour is CDMA 3G and the 8900 is GSM EDGE....
the 8900 has WiFi and the Tour doesnt...
most of the world is on GSM so by default the 8900 is a "world phone"
