[Speculation] AT&T to get Z 10 FIRST in the US?
I HAD to post this! I didnt find anything TOO relevant to this...so I thought Id start a new thread on it! I am currently with Verizon...and I have TWO upgrades avail right now! My GF is with AT&T.....My lines right now are a phone and a wi-fi hotspot card...she has a Gs2 skyrocket....She LOVES android...So we were gonna use the upgrade on my second line to get her a new android phone...and switch her account down to an internet card. Yesterday she went in to check on how much it would cost us...and not only did the sales associate know about BB10....he/she INSISTED that AT&T was going to get the Z10 FIRST in the US!!! Now, I read crackberry every day...and as Im sure many of you know...we have not gotten ANY info on the US releases of BB10 other than speculation. The sales associate would not name a date (they didnt know for sure) but they continued to INSIST that AT&T was going to get BB10 before other US carriers!! I dont know if it matters because I expect a release between the big 4 within days of each other...but It makes us think!! What do you guys think?? Any Merit to this claim??

Still too expensive. Wait for TMO and get unlimited data for $70. AT&T/VZW charge nearly $100 a month.

sigh all of a sudden Verizon, T-Mobile and AT&T say they're going to be first, let's see who walks the walk.

Isn't there already some small carrier in the US who is offering it? So how can AT&T possibly be first?

Wow, is there actually some competition going on here? If there's a race to be the first one out of the gate with the Z10 that sounds like a very positive sign.
It also tends to validate my two theories: 1) that the Z10 is, indeed, selling very well in its release markets so far and 2) that US carriers wanted a delay so they could gauge that reaction, and they now like what they see...

Search results for: 'Z10 Rogers'
they're selling it for less than 999 - 02-14-2013, 02:30 PM #20
JDGarrido was referring to Solavei, which is, indeed, offering the Z10 in the US. The catch is, that it's unlocked and, yes, costs $999

It would be a change for ATT if they did release first, they are known for dragging there feet when releasing a new device.
*cough bold 9900 cough*
Guess all we can do is wait and see till it come out. I so damn tired of waiting.
