Default Now where is the battery ?

What happened to this rumor. I am checking this thread everyday assuming that the OP would have posted more info on the new better capacity battery.

OP: Can u give us more info or atleast the progress ? I am not saying i dont believe you. But please check with your source again.

I would like to read the sources information or posts. We would too. I hope it's not BS. If it is, I don't know what to say. I'll take it with a grain of salt, a big one.

Here is a real rumor...

7.1.0.263+ OS and above brings battery performance enhancements to all BB 7 devices. And when I say enhancements I mean unplugged at 845am and only dropped 35% by 1045pm.

Lol I hope this is not a joke. 7.1.0.205 also does almost the same.. around 50% depeleted by EOD, that is, if i dont make/receive calls at all.

@Bla1ze : are you running this version on the 9900 ? If so please release it to public. :P

Fantastic! Hope the 35% depletion that you said is with a lot/or average minutes/hours of calls in a day..

That would bring it close to 9700/9780 levels, assuming normal to heavy use.

Or does OS 7.1.0.263 come with a coupon for an 1800 mAh battery?

So I would be curious on a few settings as my performance today isn't as good... Its much improved don't get me wrong but I am seeing 50% in 11 hours with about 30 mins of voice usage and moderate email and bbm usage. Also worth noting that I have been connected to wifi all day as well as BT to my Playbook and BT to my LG headset all day too.

Like I said much improved over what I am used to but I am going a day, tweak settings, a day tweak settings...

Any ideas on how it manages battery usage in that mode?

my battery life isn't that bad on my 9900 with .205, lasting a day easily with my usage. But battery enhancements are always welcomed. Less battery depletion = less recharges = less charging cycles = longer lasting batteries. can't wait for a new leak!
