ok im new to this, i have a terrible blackberry the pearl, and i desperatly need a new one. Firstly, i need to know a few things and opinions, i can get a contract in June and i live in the UK i would like to know are all the release dates people talking about for UK and USA for example 9630 and the onyx. And should i wait for these devices to come out

Just go for the 8900, the others are not a huge improvement over the 8900 and I think it's a great device.

One thing you need to understand is the fact that those dates are all rumors until they are officially announced. They are subject to change, so if you decide to wait for one that has been rumored to come out at a certain time, don't be surprised if it doesn't. I would hate for you to rely on what you have heard here in the rumors, and then to be disappointed because you had to wait longer to get the device you wanted. I have not heard of an official date yet for both the Tour 9630 or the Onyx. We are hoping it comes out soon. It is all on you if you want to wait. Of course it also depends on if it is a necessity for you to get one now, or to wait . I hope this helps.

Normally it would say which carrier, and where. You would have to pay attention to if it says North America, USA, UK, Europe, etc... I am not in the UK. Once it is officially announced, just try checking around, or ask. I am sure someone in the UK in Crackberry Nation would be able to help .

I waited for the 8900. And the fact that it was out in the UK before the US drove me nuts. A bunch of reviews poured in and, while grateful, I was envious all the same. Original rumors had the 8900 out in October 08. I got it in Jan before the official February release. Bold had been slated for June and arrived in November. Things happen, leaks are bad, etc. Love my 8900 and have no doubts that it'll keep me till 2011 when my contract is up.
