[Rumor] BB10 Update Sept 22
I just spoke with one of my friends at Rim. Release has been rumor Sept 22. Mid August you will start to see advertisement from the carriers.
At first, I did not believe it, but another friend that I know who works at Rogers Canada confirm it true Sept 22. - 06-01-2012, 02:31 PM #2
Like you said... RUMOR...
And when has a Rogers rep EVER been correct about a RIM release date?
I hate it how so many people speculate on release dates, and then hold RIM accountable when it doesn't happen.
When RIM says it'll be released, THEN i'll believe it.7130e > 8130 > 9530 > 9800 > 9900 .714 + 32GB PB - BES Admin 5.0.4 w/+100 Users - 06-01-2012, 02:37 PM #4

[Rumor] BB10 Update Sept 22
Key board or not I'm ready and look forward to some new hardware. This said every one with a press pass is gunning for RIM. For RIM's sake - given the unpleasant work conditions with their changes - hope they take their time and do their QC/QA checks prior to the release.

I despise the waiting for an event to release something. If it's ready just release the dang thing event or not. The earlier the better for THEIR sake. All if it is ready. F these events.

I agree event be dam ned, if they can get the OS good to go before the event, and can get production of devices going, launch the dang thing!
one thing RIM has going for them is demand for their product wont be on Samsung flagship, or iPhone scales, so they wont need months of pre assembly time to have the devices ready, if they have 2 Million devices made for launch and then can keep production going even if it is a run away success for RIM. they can keep up with demands.oops...

My carrier doesn't have LTE, they have great HSPA+ 42 though, and I prefer it that way because LTE still isn't mature IMHO. I don't need the super duper LTE chip we are waiting for, and the Dev Alpha guts seem to be just fine. We're being held hostage by an A15 processor, when an A9 solution would have made lots of people happy. The wait that they are putting us through better be worth it and this chip better blow everything out of the water and run all day long on a charge! Downloading 2.1 Beta on my Playbook now, I'm hoping there is some BB10 goodness under the hood even though it may not be obvious.

The point is, if RIM gives any release date for anything, it's never right.
Wasn't OS 2.0 supposed to be out in the fall of 2011? How's that go?
I'm sure everyone can come up with plenty more examples of RIM missing announced target-dates.Last edited by drummer_god; 06-01-2012 at 08:20 PM.

Sept. 22 = announcement, gain a push, BB Jam Americas on Sept. 25 (where all the awesomeness takes place), and Oct. 10 in-store release.
RIM, book it.100PROOF - Marketing & Design

Well, how can you fault Anders about software that Sega needs to port. He's probably just saying what Sega told him. Completely different from Jim B's 60 days for native email...
It would make sense for RIM to announce BB10 at devcon (now BlackBerry Jam Americas) and then have it available shortly thereafter....but who knows what will happen.Last edited by greatwiseone; 06-01-2012 at 10:58 PM.

I remember Heins saying during the BB World Keynote that there would be another event to show off more BB10 (I think before release). Whether he means BB 10 Jam Americas or not, I don't know, but there will be another event before BB10 releases. Actually, RIM could call a conference simply to announce the first BB10 device. Other companies do that and it would probably be the best way to do so.
