Default RIM scores a perfect 100 of 100 in analyst sentiment

Apple is the lowest ranked stock among the marquee technology firms in the United States based on the change in analyst sentiment, or Analysts Revision Model (ARM), according to StarMine.

Apple’s global ARM score of 10 is well below Google Inc’s 34 and Microsoft Corp’s 19 out of a possible 100. Nokia and Samsung have scores of 82 and 89, respectively.

Research in Motion Ltd has a perfect score of 100, according to the model, which measures analysts’ revision of key indicators such as earnings and revenue estimates and changes to their ratings.

That can't be right, numerous analysts have cut their ratings since November. In fact there was a cover story about one analyst on CB earlier in the week.

ARM is heavily dependent on a stocks EPS, or more importantly, projected EPS. It just uses a more comprehensive model to determine that metric.

StarMine's Analyst Revisions Model (ARM) is the result of several years of research on analyst activity, and generates a highly predictive signal of future changes in analyst sentiment, which in turn helps predict future price movement. Request our StarMine ARM white paper for more information.

StarMine improves upon basic EPS-only revisions strategies by incorporating several unique factors:

    Individual analyst performance
    SmartEstimates and Predicted Surprises
Non-EPS measures such as revenue and EBITDA
    Analyst buy/sell recommendations
    Multiple time horizons

Looks like they have capped out on one tech platform so its time to upsell another to make a killing. Its a game to them.
