Made my day....

After reading the short paragraph of the "article", I look at the links below in related post....

The 2nd one was "Palm wins CNET’s “Best of Show”... "

But what QNX is doing is very cool, I think if RIM can hold off being bought out that 2013 will be a pretty good year for them.

NICE!

They should get that into airplanes too. Would love to hook my BB up and check e-mails on the seat's screen in front of me.

Apple has that covered. I think United or American are using them for First Class.

That article refers to the cockpit, where the pilots sit. This has nothing to do with aircraft infotainment.

United or American is offering the Ipad to First Class passengers for movies and other entertainment on certain flights thats in addition to the cockpit certifications.

i worked for an airline and lived through the distribution of individual entertainment devices in business class. Airlines have moved to fixed entertainment systems, which save the airline money by not encuring the cost if inflight distribution to the passenger. As well, passengers have quicker access to entertainment from a fixed system. No need to wait for the flight attendant to give you an Ipad.

I was very disappointed to see the Nokia Lumia 900 takes best smartphone honors... I have been testing this device for about a week and the only thing that is impressive is the battery life...

Great grncherry1, happy for you I guess is the answer? Why your comment belongs in a discussion of QNX presenting a great demo at CES I have no idea why. Perhaps you would like to discuss the iPad in the iPad section of the site instead of the Blackberry section? Mobile Nations provides many forums for you to discuss said issues, this just gets very tiring after a while.

Back on topic, QNX is in a huge number of manufacturers cars, and if developers get used to developing for that platform for the car they will be very comfortable developing for the Playbook and the BBOS10 phones, as it's the same OS. It also buries the argument that the BBOS10 phones won't have apps and integration moving forward, as it's obvious the car manufacturers have decided they will by their choice of OS.

I'm liking the QNX platform more I learn about what it can do.

The integration of everything is just insane.
