I don't get why RIM went for a trademark on BBM. Their service is Blackberry Messenger. Its been shortened to BBM bu users. They should have trademarked BB Messenger and BBM is a natural shortform. As long as users associate a name with a brand, who cares about the trademark.

Exactly my thoughts about it. I think that was a bad decision.
