In short order corporate headquarters will relocate to Texas due to favourable corporate tax rate and zero personal income tax. The executive class cannot contain themselves. Having lived and worked in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex Texas it is a much nicer place than Waterloo, Ontario.

RIM can relocate their head office to Calgary and achieve the same tax benefits plus stay in Waterloo and Ottawa.

Beware the Texas property tax if you want to buy a house.
