AFAIK the releases from each carrier are more or less the same. They all include multiple languages, and it just depends on what language you choose during the initial setup. I have downloaded this and I am loading it right now.
Since this is an "official release" is it the same thing that I downloaded as the 4.5.0.37 beta a week or so ago, or is this the final version of what I downloaded as a beta?
Either way, it's good news b/c this probably means 4.5 proper will be on AT&T very soon. - 06-12-2008, 04:49 PM #10
bes will probably have to reset, I have bes mail from mobile carrier stateside and they never have a problem with my calling in to reset ent act. or teh fact that Im running an o/s that hasn't officially launched on my provider.

I certainly agree. However, Laydros asked if this was a final version of the beta he was using. I was just indicating that there is a .42 beta version floating around now. So, .37 may be the official version released for Vodaphone but there will certainly be other versions to follow since it hasn't been released by other carriers yet and people are able to get the .42 version "underground".
After all, .37 was a beta release at one time as well.

Installed and running. A very quick 5 minute check seems to look good. I remember reading about problems with Google Maps, and it seems to work fine, but I haven't tried it outside yet to test GPS. Also GMail seems to be working. It has the slightly newer look in the basic apps (like messaging) and the new font, plus the working video recorder and better web browser. I'll update if I start running into problems.

jimmers: we are on the same page I think, just saying it in different ways.
Nonetheless, and against my better judgment I'm going to load it just to see what it does.

Excellent stuff *downloads*

Just read on another site that if you have colourpearl on your 8100 to uninstall it before upgrading as its playing havoc with installation as its not compatible with 4.5 - 06-12-2008, 05:46 PM #18
Call me cautious but why can't I find this vodaphone release on the Blackberry support site carrier list? This the same .exe file of the beta .37 I downloaded and decided to not install.

My apologies. Not the same .exe as the beta. Sorry but my BB is my baby and I fear harming her.

Could anyone please confirm whether the links provided by the OP are official RIM's release of the 4.5 os?
It just sounds too good to be true IMO. And I don't want to screw up my BB.

Well I hope there is 1 more step beyond .42 for the 8320 since I have at least 1 bug that I have found.
