Its a darn shame that companies can't accept competition anymore. Once they feel threatened, they look to sue.

I may wrong, but I didn't see RIM crying when the Apple and Droid started to strive.
Nokia has been "threatened" by other companies for a whole now (more then rim imo), suing is not going to help their position.

The Blackberry bias in this thread is strong. Nokia has a right to protect its intellectual property just like every other company. RIM agreed to go into an arbitration with Nokia AND LOST. Now RIM refuses to honor the terms of the arbitration? Any objective person would tell you that means RIM is in the wrong.

I'm not taking any sides until RIM releases some kind of statement explaining how they personally view the situation...

I wasn't asked. I was just answering a specific question. While Nokia has every right to protect it's interests, I don't think it will come to a ban on sales of the new devices. Nokia has had issues with other companies, and what usually happens is after a lengthy negotiation, both parties settle on a price (either per device, or as a settlement), they have 60 something days to hammer out an agreement.

It's a little premature to say Nokia is seeking to block sales, but truthful regarding a possible court order that would prevent RIM from selling wlan compatible devices.
