[News] US Govt Agency to eval BB10 (NYTIMES)
http://www.nytimes.com/reuters/2012/...src=busln&_r=0
Sweet turnaround on a couple of points:
1) That ICE is now having second thoughts about those iPhones.
2) That a positive piece on RIM is picked up in the Times (after that infamous lifestyle article on how BB users were ashamed of their devices)Thanked by 6:calicocat2010 (12-13-2012), DuexNoir (12-12-2012), Knightcrawler (12-13-2012), Lehomer (12-12-2012), sleepngbear (12-13-2012), zyben (12-13-2012)

I can see now how this will play out if BB10 sells well: All the iPhone users on this board who kept insisting high iPhone sales are because that stale old iOS is the best, not because of successful marketing and branding are all going to turn around now and tell us BB10 is selling well (if it does) because of marketing and branding, but not because it's any good.

Nice thought, but probably unrealistic in this new BYOD world. What I think we can start to hope for, though, is that for all the BES shops that are still out there (90% of the Fortune 500, apparently, not to mention government agencies worldwide), RIM can make a compelling argument to transition to BES10, with BB10 handsets at least being the "preferred" option.

In Enterprise domain, BES is sure a wonderful advantage for RIM. I will be very (VERY) happy when iOS and Android users generates piles of CALs (and $$) to finance our amazing BB10 devices
.
Yep, the story is (sing with me) :
