Default Newbie needs HELP please! ASAP

I bought a Curve off of craigslist in favor of being able to push back renewing my contract with Verizon for when they release their newest Blackberry Niagara or updated Curve.

To activate this phone to take over my voice and text plan (which is part of a family plan on Verizon), I know I should be able to call the 800 number and give them the ESN. How do I activate the data plan (which is $30/month?) as well?

Remember, I do not want to get suckered in to a contract now which I'm worried would happen if I go into a Verizon store...

    THANKS IN ADVANCE !
CURVE 8330 until further notice (....like when Verizon releases the Niagara...)

It will auto-provision on VZW's end. It will not affect your agreement.

They changed their policy when changing plans. As of, I think, November of 07 they no longer make you renew for changing the plan. Either way, you really are only adding the BB option and not the calling plan. When I changed to my berry I did it online. It is immediate and you don't have to wait to talk to someone.

You may have some issues afterwards like using the internet - in which case a quick 611 call will take care of it

Chalupa-goat. Ok, I like the creative play on words. Cool, chalupas are pretty good.
