Lines at Canadian retailers
On my way into work this morning I saw lines in front of a Future Shop, Rogers store and Bell. They were pretty decent lines considering the stores don't open until 10 am and its currently 7:30 here in Guelph, Ontario. I reserved a unit and went into Rogers last night and they told me to come in the afternoon because they anticipate a huge line and I've already got one reserved so there is no point waiting. I also went into our mall here in Guelph and talked to people at Virgin, Bell, Rogers and Telus and they all said that tons of people who are currently Android and Idrone users are switching over.

I wasn't taking any chances. I cant spend any more time with my Android because if I do I will smash it to pieces because it crashes all of the GD time. So I made sure I got me a white z10.

When the rep phoned the other day she said they'd be opening 10am, but the rogers site says available from 8:30. It might be that my Rogers is just a small local one so not opening till later, or when she called me on Friday she hadn't been told she would have to come in early.

I'm sitting down here in the states in a rage.
Not at you my Canadian and UK friends. I'm happy for you, although maybe a bit envious. Enjoy good people of the north. You get screwed sometimes so it's time you get to watch the southern beast get their comeuppance.
A new paradigm is coming. Can you feel the shifting zeitgeist? - 02-05-2013, 06:57 AM #8

This is good news for Blackberry - surely *someone* must be able to get a picture of one of those lines?

When I spoke with a rogers rep last night he was very well versed on the phone. He went through the whole thing like he was a BlackBerry sales rep. It was about 8:30pm so the mall was dead and he had time to talk. Both he and his co-worker were telling me that Iphone sales were really slowing down and many people came in on the BlackBerry with almost a nostalgic feeling towards it. Lets be honest, it was our first smart phone. We still have one with the click wheel on the side sitting in a box and I still have the original pearl. A lot of the retailers like telephone booth and the mall kiosks also have cases and other accessories.
I dont know about other malls but Stone Road mall in Guelph has a Ghost Armour kiosk and I will be getting that on asap. - 02-05-2013, 07:25 AM #24Z10
