It took me longer to create a banner image and icon for my AppGenerator app than it did to go thru the rest of the wizard. However, it is taking forever to create the app. It says 3-10 minutes, but it's been over 20 now.

They're experiencing more load on the servers than expected. I don't think they anticipated that much traffic using AppGenerator

Nope, any app type.

It means that he originally made it for Android, and then rebuilt it for Cascades!

For the record, I've never used C++/QML, and I was in the right state of mind to learn it. It's INCREDIBLY easy. I didn't realize how easy it was.

RIM boinked porting over my Train Your Spanish app from Playbook, so I'm going to port that over to BB10 too!

The Android portathon was limited to $500,000 in rewards (5000 x $100) but they received much more than 5000 apps.

This portathon is limited to $2,000,000 in rewards (20,000 x $100).

Of course some individuals may port more than 20, in which case they will only get the max of $2000.

But what if the total exceeds the $2 Million of rewards that was set aside. Does it mean the remainder don't get a reward?

Good that this limits RIM's expenses, but considering they even extended the portathon last time, does it mean RIM actually will pay out to everyone even if it exceeds their limit they set aside?

Well, either way, as I have said before, if they spent $100 per app. Getting all Google store apps onto BB10 would only cost about $70,000,000. Which is still only a fraction of their $1 Billion dollar plan. So expense wise, I don't think RIM is too worried about attracting too many devs/apps.

i really want to see how many are accepted. They tightened up the requirements so hopefully no more $100 for web launchers

Right that is known, just they still have to be ready for possible (but highly unlikely) event that every single possible app submitted is accepted

They don"t need any bad press claiming they reneged!
