so I just called a Bell store (I'm in montreal)

Q: when will we be able to buy a BB10 phone?
A: jan 31.

she told me they don't have them in stock right now...so if there's no delay on RIM's side, I'll have a bb10 in my hand next thursday!

she also told me that her manager tried one, and he was verry impressed with it.

she didn't want to tell me anything about the price.

what do you think?

I heard from (fairly) reliable source Feb 1st. Would be great if this was true because they can really take advantage of the post-launch momentum. Time will tell.

Every carrier has a different launch date, it's totally their call. I wouldn't be surprised in the least if some had it January 31st, and other had it March 15. An early launch even if it's only on a few carriers will definitely be a good thing!

The order screen said "Street date Jan.31"
Whatever that means.

@blackberryscoop tweeted earlier this week promo stuff for some canadian carriers were being shipped, that promo material was mentioning a february 5th availability. I don't have that tweet here right now, but I remember he mentioned at least Rogers in it. He also said something about the first BB10 device shipments, which should happen soon.

I don't know about Bell but Rogers get their shipments every Thursday as in Thursday January 31 so they need TIME to set up for Feb 5 or feb 4th if we are lucky the day after superbowl BB10.(that's what i heard for rogers)
