I was just curious if there are any rumors about a new Pearl coming out sometime in the future, one newer than the 8130.... as I said, just wondering?

Well, the BlackBerry Pearl flip is the latest Pearl .. and the new 8520 Gemini is going to be a low cost upgrade to the first generation Curves .. and there is speculation about a Pearl Slider coming out .. I believe it's called the Blackberry Stratus?

Hmm.... that would be interesting. The thing is I find all the other blackberries pretty neat, but I've grown extremely fond of my 8130 and the SureType.... I'm not to sure I'd like any other kind of BB with a full keyboard.

Well with the new OS 5.0 to be released in the next few months, SureType is going to be incorporated into the full QWERTY BlackBerrys as well, if that's a selling point for you..

you've probably been accustomed to suretype. As a former
pearl 8100 user the QWERTY keyboard took a bit of getting
used to. Within a month I got it down and was firing away
at messages.

If only I could train my thumbs to type and keep my eyes
glued to the screen without looking at the keyboard, like
on a computer.

Then I'd be the man!

That's what I really enjoy about the pearl: the fact that I can read a text message and then without even looking at the phone, type my reply. I've gotten really used to the Pearl's keyboard.

There is a new updated Pearl coming out.. should be nice apparently.. I was never a big suretype person and when we tested the pearl flip I couldnt stand it.
