i have been running 4.5.037 for a few days now..
It seems a little buggy... a notable feature is a mouse pointer for the browser now.. viewing email and text is more asthetically pleasing? lol there is a nice box around the message details and what not. um other than that it seems to be the same (i am still somewhat of a newbie to blackberry but did figure out how to download the new OS and install it on my BB) not sure if i can post how i did that in the forum though...
i get some freezing and delay when trying to send MMS and sometimes have to do a hard reset... anyone else have any problems with the new OS???
hope this gives people some insight to the new OS...

I know everybody is in a rush for the official release of 4.5 but these are the reasons its not. Still too many bugs. Rogers are now shipping their 8120's with 4.5.0.37 so maybe we are getting close. Thats a good sign.

I dont know the specifics but after 3 days of using the beta version .37 out of no where my phone started to reject my sim card. Ive heard through the grape vine that it has only been happening to tmobile users. a theory is that rim is fishing out anyone who is using the beta version, thats not my theory but ive kept it in mind.
i did like the beta a lot it really changes the phone (thats just my humble opinion) but who wants to keep a beta os if theyre going to have to shell over $20 bucks on a sim card every few days just to keep it on?S

This is why these beta's were not released publicly.

Os 4.5.0.37
I am a t-mobile user and have had no problems with any of the Os 4.5 beta's the first one would not let me stream video ( phone would reboot ) , run AIM error message or use BBery Maps will say that bbery maps is not compatibility with your Os Ver. on my 8800 and on my 8320 it would not allow me to use AIM or stream Video, once i upgraded to 4.5.37 I was able to stream youtube on my 8800 ( thought a bit choppy ) and same for the 8320 still not AIM on either one or bbery maps on the 8800. I have been running 4.5 for over 6 months and have not ever had a problem with a SIM card on either phone.

word thru the grapevine is that RIM and carriers are trying to find a way to keep to carrier os installed on device instead of other os's from other carriers so hence the reason it fries the sim card.
