Default grabbing news from CES

Am I reading ok ?

In this article (Daily Telegraph : CES 2012: RIM updates BlackBerry PlayBook - Telegraph ) I read some that wasn't already listed in Kevin's and Bla1ze's reports from CES / press communique , right here on CB.
Quote:
[...] RIM will also integrate social networking calendars and contacts. It will now also allow a BlackBerry handset to act as a remote control, for instance movies streamed from a PlayBook to a TV, or as a keyboard for the PlayBook
Do you read it DLNA like I do ? OMG, finally, YESSSSSSSS !!!

Well I do believe they used HDMI in the official release post, and perhaps the telegraph just missed it. However if this is true, and DLNA has FINALLY been approved, I will be a very happy PB owner! lol

Just rushed to the DLNA.org product search, no fingerprint yet (no RIM, no Playbook, no QNX ...) but the device can be DLNA capable, without being "certified" also ...

RIM did mention (and forgive the lack of source) they were going to pursue it. Not sure if it fell by the wayside though.

in short, "DLNA uses Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) for media management, discovery and control"
But as Sith wrote ^^^, you'll get all about it here :

I too wish there was DLNA but i think this article alludes to using Blackberry's as a keyboard for you playbook. Using the Blackberry Videos app/rental service connected through HDMI, you will be able pause/play using your blackberry cellphone. There was a wired article that explains this better.

I wish it was about DLNA tho.

Using one's BlackBerry as a keyboard for the PB was announced in the press release that was passed around yesterday.

@Tedd_jr & Oniberry
is there an app called "Learn better English and stop trying to pull the wool over sb's eyes" ?
I'll keep optimistic, while the "phone remote" is yet a very good news and hope that the announcement of the video store will bring some extras ... and maybe DLNA (at least the viewer/remote part).

Awesome Superfly, keep deflecting the truth with comments about spelling. Who is pulling what over someone's eyes?

Keep drinking the grape flavoured drink!!!

Hope you didn't understand my answer wrong : I meant that I finaly read bad the article. And the "pulling" thing was a google translation of "prendre des vessies pour des lanternes" wich means roughly "believing an ice cube to be a diamond".
