My bad. I thought we were losing the BIS support for Google products. I use BIS to sync contacts and calendar.

The calendar sync is okay. The contact sync sucks and the gmail sync is retarded.

Google products work flawlessly on an android and iphone but suck on a blackberry. Why does it have to be this way Jim and Mike?

Actually a quick "iphone google sync problems" search reveals plenty people complaining, so not exactly flawless. Personally I would stay away from google sync.

The contact sync is fine if you know how to use it. Unfortunately, this information isn't spelled out in any official FAQ that I know of.

People find that postal addresses that they have in their BB get truncated after sync with Google. There is no "fix" but there's an easy workaround: Ignore the city and state/province fields in the BB Address app. Put the entire postal address in the "Address 1" field and you'll be okay. Google treats addresses as single blocks of text, and fails to handle separate fields properly, so this is the only way to keep Google happy.

Gmail sync is one-way. Mail deleted from the web server will not be deleted from the phone in Gmail. Yahoo mail does it, but not Gmail; I don't know why.

SCREW GOOGLE USE OUTLOOK! Its way better and you can sync using wifi . I have been doing it for years now. Its great! Why give google your contacts and calender information anyway???? Why not keep that on your private PC. Why just hand over your privacy and cross your fingers? Your careless actions have consequences.

I always found that a bit silly, but got used to it when I used BB. It would be handy for Google to fix that though.
