Costco getting BB10
Just back from Costco..asked the guy selling the smart phones if they are getting BB10. He said they were getting them in a few weeks, they done training on the phones and were very impressed. The guy said he was buying the new Blackberry when it comes out and dumping his iPhone 4

Which location? My guy, while aware that BB10 was coming, said it was unlikely they would be carrying them because they currently don't carry the other Blackberry's. I got the sense that whatever company sets up these Costco kiosks don't carry the Blackberry line.
Anyone have any insight on what kind of arrangement the Costco kiosks run? Are they 3rd party vendors? - 01-27-2013, 05:26 PM #6

I knew about this last week. I asked them when I. Was in the kitchener one. He showed me the inventory screen too (the classic screen that most leaks show)

This is good news. I love buying from the guys at the little booth. They know their stuff and they give you the best deal they can. I have always walked away with something free too.

Yeah I am in Canada and it kind of makes sense that Costco would be carrying the BB10. Because most carriers don't have their own kiosks (ie, Bell sells quite a bit through The Source, Rogers sells some what from their Rogers Plus stores (very limited locations)), the Kiosks probably get paid a lot of money from the Carriers to sell phones which are on their network. Since BB10 is coming to all Canadian major carriers, the kiosks are getting told to sell the BB10. Good for blackberry since this creates more visibility.

Costco in the US was slow to get the T-Mobile 9360 and 9900. I'll probably be going to the carrier store to get this thing ASAP.

Wireless wave, t-booth and another brand that operates in quebec are owned by a Canadian company called Glentel, which has had a long standing relationship with RIM. Diamond wireless (in the US) was also recently acquired by Glentel. Target's cellular kiosks in Canada are also going to operated by Glentel similar to Costco so they will definitely have BB10 devices for sale.
