Bold 9900 running OS 7.0 and 7.1 FIPS approved

Blackberry Bold running OS 7.0 and 7.1 were just FIPS approved yesterday:

Validated 140-1 and 140-2 Cryptographic Modules

Should help move some Bolds in the government space.

Man i have been waiting for them to actually stamp this approved. I have known about the approval for some time just not the announcement.


EDIT: I dont see any "validated to 140-2" on there. Appears to be only FIPS 140-1?

FIPS 140-2 has been the testing standard since it superseded 140-1 ten years ago.
