On HBO's "Veep," all they use is BlackBerrys. A lot of 9700s and 9900s. Someone even has a Bold 9790 (which wasn't sold on any of the major U.S. carriers). It's a comedy about Washington D.C., so of course BlackBerrys are a part of life.
And on ABC's "Nashville," a drama about two country music stars, it's interesting that while the two fictional singers (played by Hayden Panettiere and Connie Britton) use iPhones, all the managers, assistants, and record executives use BlackBerrys. I've seen 9900s, 9810s, and actually a supporting character uses the Torch 9850/9860.
Always nice to see BlackBerrys on TV or movies.

I watch a lot of tennis and there seem to be tons of BlackBerrys in the crowds, particularly the European tournaments . Also, there is series of short commercials / features on the Tennis Channel called "Bag Check" where they have individual tour players show what's in their tennis bag, and it seems the majority of them pull out BlackBerrys, not a surprise since most of the players are European.
Also, on the UFC post fight press conference tonight, I could have sworn Junior Dos Santos was using a Z10.
Posted via CB10It was recently pointed out to me that SugarSync was still in my signature, and no longer available for free. It was a nice (free) ride, SugarSync, but I'm seeing Box and Dropbox now, via BB10 integration.

I just caught a glimpse of a scene from "What to Expect When You're Expecting" where Dennis Quaid shows off a sonogram video on a PlayBook(!)
EDIT: And, yes, it's very obvious, to the point that I suspect that RIM paid for the product placement.“Never argue with a fool, onlookers may not be able to tell the difference.”

BlackBerry was very clearly shown in the new episodes of Arrested Development. Weird to see since the show was made by Netflix and they Cleary don't support BlackBerry.

If you watch the credits on most of these shows/movies, there typically is something like "Promotional consideration/furnishings provided by Blackberry"The reason big new things sneak by incumbents is that the next big thing always starts out being dismissed as a “toy.” This is one of the main insights of Clay Christensen’s “disruptive technology” theory.

One of my favourite depictions of Blackberry vs iPhone use was on the movie Contagion.
All the government employees had BlackBerries. The kids used iPhones. Can't remember what the Japanese man on the bus used.

I saw Haywire the other night and it included BlackBerry in a scene (the 9900 I think).

In every movie where government people show up, they have blackberry's, which makes sense. But it's still nice to see.
Funny, when I watched Die Hard 5 a couple of months ago, Bruce Willis has a BlackBerry next to him in the car on the passengers seat. When the car rolls over a couple of times, then Bruce Willis takes the device from the seat (magically didn't move in the looping the car made) and it's unharmed. Awesome.
Also, funny fact; when I typed Bruce (never typed it before) my Z10 suggested Willis. He's in the BlackBerry dictionary
