Default BlackBerry keeps moving, now their mantra

It seams that BlackBerry is taking their new slogan quite seriously, nice to see they have become a forward looking company again.

    Thanks Mark37724, good to see.

When asked whether the next BlackBerry 10 phones are already on the drawing board, he told CTV's Canada AM, “it's further than that already."
"It's already in the R&D lab, so my software engineers are coding, my hardware engineers are working on it, that is already done. We're looking for the next generation already," Heins said. "We had a very exciting meeting with my folks yesterday and man, we're up for some really good innovation in the future."

Remember, 'next' doesn't mean 'successor of current'. Six devices were promised so he is most probably talking about those other four devices that my are not expected to be high end phones. It's rather BB10 Curves.

It's called the Aristo and will have quad-core CPU. Source: friends at BlackBerry who are already using it.

Timeframe: not sure but before back to school is the target.

at least with the current phone hardware, upgrading software to the next version (ie. bb11) shouldnt be an issue like it was with OS6 to OS7.

I disagree. If you read the article he says 'next generation' _and_ he mentions the (4) other, more mid-tier devices. So the one he's talking about must refer to the next flagship type device.

They should be pretty far in development cause the updated Z and Q atleast would need to be released before Christmas. I'm hopping we see an addition of a phablet, curve replacement, 7 and 10 inch tablets and flagship qwerty.
