Default Blackberry cloud service

Has anyone heard about a release date for the production version of the cloud service?

What 'cloud' service are you referring to? Their service model right now, and has been for the last decade - in essence is a 'cloud' service.

They bought a company called NewBay which specialises is cloud services. Haven't heard much about it since the purchase news though.

And yes you are correct in saying that there NOC in essence is a cloud service but it is not as comprehensive as a full fledged service.

This is probably connected in some way to the Wireless Media Server they're talking about. Sounds exciting

Unfortunately this has nothing to do with the Wireless media server. The server is more of a one way AirPlay.

The PlayBook 2.0 Docs-to-Go printing feature stores the documents in the cloud I believe.

This is my understanding too as it utilises your Blackberry ID. RIM really need to do a better job of getting the information regarding their transormation out there.

There is confusion regarding BES and its place in the future and it is attracting negative press. It doesn't help that nobody is asking these questions when interviewing the guys at the top.

if you are talking about newbay acquisition, it will be mostly with BB10

but as someone pointed the cloud service as is have existed for the last decade or so in the form of BES, BIS where your emails, contacts and other things are stored/hosted.
