Thanks jhard. As ever you have the right information. What I wanna know is where does this stuff originate from?

just installed it. i think i'm the first with an 8800 on T-Mobile in the post. hopefully this doesn't fry the SIM like the .37 did to others. I got a backup, so I'll know soon.

I just wish RIM would make a desktop manager for linux
Especially ubuntu it's becoming mor poular thanks to delld slav mart
No linux suport is about the only think keeping vista on my laptop. The reason it takes so long to instal is the usb can only handle so much data at a time.

It does have a new browser, but I don't know if it's different from the .37 because I didn't have it. But there's an arrow on the screen that you can use as a pointer, rather than just scrolling up and down with the trackball. The home screen is new.
YouTube does work! When you go to YouTube.com it said something along the lines of my device not supporting it.. blah.. whatever. I clicked Watch Video anyway and it opened with the media player. Video quality is insanely pixelated, but I'm pleased.

That is awesome news!! The betas are all fine and dandy, and I am glad a lotta people use them and let us know how they are coming along... but does anyone have an idea when DM 4.5 and the BB OS 4.5.whatever will be released for TMobile?? Let alone any US carrier?!
Thanks!! And nice find!! - 06-08-2008, 08:19 PM #43
Im running the new OS on my 8320. This is my first experience with 4.5 but it looks nice. I like the way email information is displayed etc. Overall I would say its faster than 4.2.2.184 which I had on my 8320 before. UMA is working in this release also. Tested and confirmed. Hopefully we're getting close to a final release. I noticed the file free on my device dropped from about 14mb to like 8mb. Is this normal and is this enough?

I have been running it for a week or so now and I HAVE been trying to get it to break down with a memory leak like the rest did but it doesn't seem to be doing so I like it

Ok I have it running on .42 now for the last hour. About 45-50 minute flawless install. Everything is working, UMA is holding strong on my 8320. I went from 4.2.2.184 and I always started with about 22mb free. With this I started with 10mb free and I'm down to about 6.5mb in an hour without really doing anything.
Dont understand why these 4.5os' memory isn't good and it leaks, so frustrating. But it seems really stable.
I have a feeling the official 4.5 stable releases free memory levels are gonna suck and will leak. Dont understand after like 10 4.5 betas now its still LEAKING! *sigh* - 06-08-2008, 08:40 PM #49From the head MOFO in charge:
