Launch party for BB10 is set for this evening, just 3-4 hours away. All 3 local telcos has opened up for pre-order and registering of interest. Sale of device will start March 7th. Ordered mine within minutes after my carrier started their pre-order. Different telco have different free accessories for pre-order customers. Mine is giving away HDMI cable, red Transform case, and battery charger bundle. Earliest delivery date i could get, March 7th morning. Can't wait.

Now just waiting for their confirmation.

Just came back from the party, trying to type as coherently as possible. The free flow of wine certainly not helping, lol.

I've talked to a few, who were still a little skeptical about BB10, but I've seen people who are absolutely smitten by it as well. People who have already pre-ordered theirs, people who already gotten their hands on an export set. Most of them has nothing but praises for the device. Whatsapp is huge in my country, so the lack of it bothered some people. But in terms of simply the operating system, most were pretty impressed.

Not from the carriers at this point of time. But I would imagine other retailers would be getting theirs soon after carriers start selling it March 7th. Its RP is set at SGD 918 without contract, about 740 USD.

You can get the unlocked version for SGD 1,000 without a contract from some of the electronic shops in downtown far east plaza.

If you ask me it will still be more prudent to get local sets instead. All phones sold officially in Singapore, no matter from carriers or not, is required to be unlocked by law. If you are based in Singapore, you have local warranty support. Plus its cheaper at SGD 918. Plus they will be sure to work with Singapore's local 4G bands. I have seen a forum member buying an export set only to realise the device he bought doesn't support local 4G bands.

I got mine earlier in london and now I wish I have ordered for all the freebies lol!! Does anyone know if Sing tel will allow me to cut my current sim card for z10? And if there is any need for me to change my current blackberry plan?

I don't think Singtel will have any issues with you cutting your sim card, and no, there is no need to change your current Blackberry plan.
