Post Black Forest

Does anyone know some news about the new Blackberry's tablet "Black Forest"?
I know that Rim said that blackberry 10 smartphone will be released only at the end of 2012 but the Black Forest will also be released at the end of the year or sooner because is a tablet and not a smartphone?
The software should be just finished (QNX 2.0 in February) and I think that the developers have to make only a good Hardware...

Sorry for the language, I am not English

I for one am going on record! (again) PBOS 2.1 will launch with a PB 2, or very soon there after.

LOL @ Bla1ze

I think that RIM would be unwise to release a 10" version of the PB until this version takes off. The 7" LTE device will be a big deal for them. And i could get rid of my MIFI lol.

If they're committed to the tablet (as they should be) they should go all-out. Continue to work at making the 7" playbook popular and great and release a 10" tablet with 3g/4g.

They're still in the black...do it now

yeah, a carrier subsidized 4g tablet would sell better that a wifi only tablet.

But why would they try to sell as many PB1 as they have done lately at a loss, if it was not because of PB2 coming??? Its the only reason to sell PB1 w OS1 at a loss!!

They can sell pb1 at the discount rate, pb2 (with better specs) at full price, and a new 3g/4g 10" tablet at full price (competitive pricing)

10" tablet puts them squarely in competition with Apple. RIM does not have the ecosystem to even come close to that. They would do better to release that tablet NEXT year when they have many thousands android apps in app world in addition to their expanding native app lineup. Until they cross the 100k total app threshhold on QNX, they need to stay out of direct competition with Apple. The hardware is there but the software is definitely not.

As for a 3G/4G device, they already exist internally. It is coming.

Apple and Google are making smaller tablets...they have to meet them head-on now

A 10" tablet from RIM would only need to cover the important basic features and it would find a solid market - Ex. great browser, print any file from anywhere, view anything, super editing capabilities, lots of storage capacity...all swipe, super thin, 3g/4g, it could work

IMO
Apple and Google are making smaller tablets because PBOS2 is going to rock the tablet market.

the reason why they were fire saleing the PB is because they were just sitting in the warehouse collecting dust. they needed to get them out there so people can see just how different PBOS2 is compared to what it was launched with.

but like Bla1ze said every with is a rumor and everything should be taken with a grain of salt until you see it on blackberry.com
