bb10 updates via ota?

You can already get OTA updates on the current BBOS. What I'm guessing you're getting at is not having to go through the carriers, which is true as long as the radio stacks aren't altered in the update. But yeah, should mean updates get to us as soon as RIM is finished on them, like on the PB

I hope the updates are like the PB. The way they do it on BBOS is lame for people who are not tech savvy.

Well i bet you a lot of people were frustrated with blackberry because they didn't know how to update their phone. The decision to let carriers test and release software updates where one of RIMS dumbest things they have done. But that's just my opinion.

I'm hoping it'll be either OTA or via desktop manager directly from RIM and not the carriers, but as a tech savvy person, I don't mind going down and doing it the old fashioned way.
